    1. Metal Roof-Deck Panels* — No. 26 MSG min gauge coated steel. Panels continuous over two or more spans. End laps to occur over purlin with panels overlapped 6 in. with lap centered over purlin web. A line of sealant may be used at panel side and end laps.

    2. Panel Fasteners — Panel to purlin connections to be No. 12-14 Hex Washer Head Insulation Teks/3 self-drilling, self-tapping screws with a 1/2 in. formed steel washer and a separate formed neoprene sealing washer. Screw length to be 17/8 in. for 1 in. thick insulation, 23/8 in. for 11/2 in. thick insulation and 3 in. for 2 in. thick insulation. Panel to panel connections to be No. 1/4-14 by 3/4 in. Stitch Teks/1 self-drilling, self-tapping, hex head, steel screws with a 1/2 in. formed steel washer and a separate formed neoprene sealing washer.

    Spacing for panel to purlin connections:

    For Class 90 or 60: To be 6 in. OC with fasteners located 3 in. from the center line on both sides of each major rib. For Class 30: To be 12 in. OC with fasteners located 3 in. from the center line on one side of each major rib.

    Spacing at end laps for all classes to be 6 in. OC with fasteners located 3 in. from the center line on both sides of each major rib.

    Spacing for panel to panel connections:

    For all classes to be 18 in. OC max with a fastener located at end laps in line with purlin fasteners.

    3. Insulation* — Rigid board, supplied in 4 ft wide sheets. Thickness to be 1 in., 1-1/2 in., or 2 in. nom. Butt joints to occur over purlins. Top surface of all joints to be continuously sealed with a 2 in. wide vapor barrier tape, pressure sensitive on one side.
    3A. Foamed Plastic — (Optional) Rigid type, supplied in 4 ft wide sheets, max thickness 3-1/2 in. Butt joints, staggered to occur over purlins. Top surface of all joints may be continuously sealed with 2 in. wide pressure sensitive vapor barrier tape.
