USE AND INSTALLATION

This category covers dumbwaiter-type counterbalanced and swinging fire doors of the flush design of formed steel. They include wall guides, frame, latching, and counterbalancing mechanisms.

These doors are intended to be installed in concrete and masonry walls unless otherwise noted in the individual certifications. Dumbwaiter doors intended to be installed in nonmasonry walls should be installed in accordance with the installation instructions provided with each assembly.

These doors are intended to be installed in accordance with ANSI/NFPA 80, "Fire Doors and Other Opening Protectives," and ANSI/ASME A17.1, "Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators."

Authorities Having Jurisdiction should be consulted before installation.
