This category covers chute-type fire doors. Chute doors of the intake and discharge types are of formed steel, of the flush design, with frames, latching, and closing mechanisms.
Chute doors are intended to be installed in concrete and masonry walls unless otherwise noted in the individual certifications. Chute doors intended to be installed in nonmasonry walls should be installed in accordance with the installation instructions provided with each assembly.
