GENERAL

This category covers bullet-resisting fire door and frame assemblies, which consist of doors, frames, latches, hinges and closers. They have been investigated for both fire and bullet-resisting protection.

INSTALLATION

Bullet-resisting fire door assemblies are intended to be installed in masonry walls.

SIZES

The maximum sizes of the bullet-resisting fire door assemblies are shown on the individual certifications.

ASTRAGALS

Doors swinging in pairs must be provided with astragals.

GLASS PANELS

Doors are not provided with glazing panels.

The Certification Mark for these products includes the UL symbol, the words "CERTIFIED" and "SAFETY," the geographic identifier(s), and a file number.
